Hiking & active leisure
Hiking is one of La Côte des Légendes' flagship activities, both for visitors and for residents wishing to discover or rediscover their region. The general craze for tourism and leisure activities has become a major challenge, particularly in terms of quality. Local hiking associations, supported by the communes and the Lesneven Côte des Légendes Community, have been working for many years to offer walkers, equestrians and mountain bikers attractive itineraries.
PDIPR trails
The Plan Départemental des Itinéraires de Promenade et de Randonnée (PDIPR) (Departmental Plan for Walking and Hiking Routes) lists the routes in each département that are open to hikers and, where appropriate, horse riders and mountain bikers. Only routes that meet specific technical and landscape criteria (percentage of asphalt, environmental and landscape aspects, etc.) are eligible for this classification.
All the circuits promoted by Tourisme Côte des Légendes have now been classified or are in the process of being classified by the Finistère Department.
Path in Lesneven Coast of Legends
Created on November 12, 1999, the Sentier en Pays de Lesneven Côte des Légendes association's initial aim was to contribute to the preservation of the natural heritage of the communes, particularly their "chemins creux" (sunken paths).
In general, the Sentier en Pays de Lesneven Côte des Légendes association coordinates and supports local and inter-communal associations located within the Lesneven Côte des Légendes Community that work to develop and maintain hiking trails.
With a view to pooling resources, it coordinates the needs of each local association (e.g. purchase of equipment).
With the help of local associations, it also coordinates the marking of the inter-municipal loop and local loops.
Since January 1, 2012, these missions have been part of a multi-year agreement between the association Sentiers en Pays de Lesneven Côte des Légendes, the Lesneven Côte des Légendes Community and Tourisme de la Côte des Légendes.
