Why take advantage?

In the heart of the Léon region, this basilica is one of Brittany's most remarkable shrines. A masterpiece of Gothic art, it was built during the last century of the Duchy's independence, on the tomb of a simpleton touched by pity.

This basilica dedicated to Mary, a witness to the faith of our ancestors and a place for spiritual renewal, is a majestic 15th-century edifice of Kersanton granite. The facade is sober but remarkable for the disparity of its two bell towers.

A visit to the museum complements a visit to the Basilica. The museum houses statues, archives and furniture used by Queen Anne during her two pilgrimages to Folgoët.

2023: Basilica celebrates its 600th anniversary!
Don't miss the festivities in September 2023.
